Its been over a year since redneck steve and I acquired the beer bucket and despite the occasional bump in the road, I gotta say its been a pretty good ride. We have made more friends than I can name. I remember that night that we asked sharky, “do you know anybody that wants to sell a bar down here?” like it was yesterday. Its been a dream come true for me and now thanks to our customers, our dream continues. So, Thank you!

For those that may be new to this site let me tell you a little bit about me. I’m Big Al. I am born and raised in dallas, texas. I have one sister, Valencia, and she is by far the smart one in the family. She graduated from Stanford years ago and she is currently a first grade teacher. My mom and dad have been married for 50 years. Maybe my sister will visit Mexico at some point but my dad is not well enough to travel and my mom is not crazy about the idea of visiting south of the border. Both of my sons, korey and payton, have visited playa but not since we bought the bar. I’m very anxious for them to come visit. I was married long ago to a nice girl but I wasn’t quite “ready.” Also, I have two “rescue” dogs, their names are queso and stretch. I owned a limo service for over ten years and then made a serious career move. I joined a successful morning radio show called “Kidd Kraddick in the Morning.” We are heard in 85 cities throughout the United States.

I love to travel but almost always travel to a beach. Rio was great, Punta Cana was awesome. The Virgin Islands were beautiful. But every since we bought the bar in playa, I have spent all of my vacations there. Actually, for a long time, Cancun was my favorite. But once I visited Playa, I’ve NEVER been back to Cancun. In fact, I promised myself if I ever get married again, I would get married in Playa del Carmen.

Well, I don’t want to bore anybody here so I’ll keep this short. Thanks for visiting our site and I hope to see you at the Beer Bucket soon. Its located on calle 10 between 5^th and 10^th avenue, pretty much in the center of town (2 blocks from the beach.)

We’ve got some cool stuff coming up at the bar. We will celebrate Edith’s birthday on the first Friday of October. We’re gonna have a big Halloween party. And theres more cool stuff coming up as well including some giveaways worth thousands of dollars. That’s right, I said THOUSANDS! We are not too proud to bribe you to come to our bar!!! Whatever it takes. J
